Looking for the serial number on a 1977 reinell 23' cabin cruiser. All I can find is the model number by the throttle. There's a serial number on the engine but I don't think NY dmv will take that.
Well the 76' Reinell 165 (I-6) is coming along. Got it started finally after finding out the wire was bad from the switch to the coil and in the process i did the Hot Spark electronic ignition conversion and it runs beautifully except....the prop only goes forward. theres some wires disconnected...
I have the 71' GM inline 6 engine in my boat and i did the Hot Spark conversion from points to electronic ignition. I wasnt getting any (and still not after conversion) power out of the cap and wires. I have power out of my coil though. Cap and wires, and plugs are new. Im lost!!!
In my 77 Reinell i have the inline 6 GM engine (165). Say i want to take and put a 350 or 355 in it. Would i have to change anything on the transom? motor mounts?
I want to replace my points distributor with an aftermarket regular distributor and coil. Anyone know any good companies that make them? The boat is a 1977 Reinell with an OMC 165 engine.
Looking for someone around Buffalo to come take a look at my engine in my boat. Its a 1977 Reinell 23' Cuddy with an OMC 165 straight 6. This is my first boat and needs some work but if i can get the engine running right everything else is easy. Thanks
