    Is that suppose to do that?

    Just changed my impeller on a 25hp 2003 merc, put the muffs on it and started it up, noticed water coming up from where the shift rod is exposed for not even a half inch. Is this normal or do I need to take it all apart again and see if everything is lined up right?

    What year of Johnson?

    Bought a 96 boat, and assume the motor is the same year, Model #J15ELCEC Serial # R08261342 not sure why they dont make it a little eaiser
