    Where did you get that info, I'm told 75hp and up are built in Fond du Lac. Also the small Mercs can be different from Tohatsu depending on model. Can get a bigger gear case, different tiller handle, different clamp bracket and trim set up. And a pretty cowl.

    I don't think the 40-50-60 HP motors are Tohatsu. Pretty sure they are built in the Mercury plant in China. They seem to be good motors, don't see any unusual problems with them.

    Yes 8M0214948 Seal Carrier It will include the 8M0142854 O-ring and one 864319 double lip seal. If you're doing an impeller job you might want the "deluxe" kit 817275K05, it will include the carrier. This seal carrier has gone thru 8 upgrades, so you can tell it's been a problem child.

    My Bad, yes #19 If it hasn’t already been replaced, you’re due. This is just like the 2 wire Thunderbolt distributor sensors, should have been replaced during regular maintenance.
