    1976 85 horse Johnson No spark on 1,2,4 clyinders

    Pulled the boat out from winter storage went to fire it up and it wouldnt start. I checked for spark only had spark on number 3 clyinder And intermittent spark on # 1. I jumped the 1,2,4, coil over off the number 3 peg and each coil will fire. so, that tells me the coils are ok... "i think"...

    1976 85hp Johnson trying to replace impeller

    Im trying to get to the impeller but after removing all bolts including the hidden one i still cant seem to get the bottom end off. I see a rod in there asumming its for foward and rev, but how to unhook it is where im having issues. any help would be greatly apperciated. thank you

    I had the boat out on the lake and it started acting up if i take of slow i can get going about 10 mph and then its as if something slips the rpms go up but the boat slows, if you let up on the throttle and ease back into it slowly it will take off again but as soon as power is demanded it...
