I have a Johnson 15r79e Outboard. There is a tremendous amount of oil leaking out of the gear case so I am planning on either replacing the seals or buying a reconditioned lower unit.
The issue I have is that I don't own any of the proprietary tools for achieving this process.

I have a question regarding the TD-20 water pump. I have done a lot of research on this and have a new impeller on the way from Brian Wilcox.
My question is this:
How does this impeller work?
It doesn't appear that it spins around on the eccentric. Does it just pulse?
