Just had cardb completely rebuilt buy local shop.
I noticed that cylinder 4 plug is fouled and the engine is smoking a lot. Also i notice some black stuff like oil coming out of the prop/lowerunit.
I premix 50-1 disconnected cables for VRO.
The jets are 2 3/4 turns...
Is my timing mark missing? I have a 225 evinrude 1995 but i dont see the marker anywhere on the motor all i see are the marks on the flywheel...
Is it a peice of metal or a marking???

I have an issue with my 1996 evinrude 225 V6.
The engine starts up but i notice it's rough. Intermitingly it dies then starts right up the rps are at about 1100 at start up then drop down to 900 after quickstart clears. Then engine runs and will turn off intermitingly, It will has an ocasional...
My flywheel center hub magnet has a cover with two little open slots i think this is what the trigger reads or picks up. Can i glue this or use some expoxy to put this in place? Does it have a specific mark that it needs to be in a specific place or will i need a new flywheel?

I have done the following.
Disconnect all kills. Disconnect rectifier.
Have trigger output. Have stator output. No powerpack output.
Replaced trigger & power pack still no spark.
Can something be wrong with the flywheel or stator even though im getting output???
