2005 Bravo outdive, forward works perfectly ,no reverse unless give it a bit of throttle then it will engage. mechanic tried to adjust cables but did not help.

had a soft 2' x2' section of plywood floor. Cut out bad area, now would like to fill in area with 1" seaboard. Question is will 3M 5200 adhesive hold the seaboard to the existing plywood and fiberglass stringers?
