Dear fellow Boaters,
My Mercruiser 5.0 from 2004 has some backslash on the powersteering, or steeringvalve. I guess the artikel is nr: 806034 A1
It as a backslash on the cilinder of around 3/8 of an inch. Is this an easy fix or is replacing the steeringvalve the best option?

I have an Bayliner 215 bowrider from 2003/2004 (the classic) with the 5.0 mercruiser engine.
And I noticed a backslash in the stearingwheel of about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.
Do anyone know how to solve this prob?

I made an pic from the back of the meter. It almost says the same what Chris says. (the setings)
If set at possition 3 the RPM's can rise to 8000.
