Yamaha 115 stroke flush line clogged

Hi All, New here on the Yamaha thread, and it been a while since on the forum at all, my BB 7.4L MerCruisers are running good. I recently bought a 2002 Sea Pro CC 180 with a 2002 Yamaha 115 2 stroke. She runs great. Unfortunately its getting cold here in NJ and I have only had her out once...

Milky oil from oil cooler failure

Quick update. Did 5 quick oil changes with 4 quarts each time and dumping the oil filter, 5-10 runs. The I did a full oil change and new filter then took her out for a nice 30 min run at 3400 rpms. All seem good. I will do another full oil change before winter storage in a couple month...

Milky oil from oil cooler failure

Hi all, It been a long while since I been on here and I hope everyone is doing well. Last week I discovered that the oil cooler on my 7.4L Bluewater inboard had failed and I had milkshake coming out the exhaust with the cooling water. The oil cooler has been replaced, no more milkshake in the...

    496 bravo 3 3000 RPM plus overheat

Its been a while since I have been on the forum, I just lost my wife to a 6 month battle with cancer and am trying to recover from it. Since I am feeling OK I figured I would post an update to this thread. After we serviced the heat exchangers all seem OK and they took the boat on a 30 plus...

    496 bravo 3 3000 RPM plus overheat

A few weeks ago we rodded both heat exchangers which seems to have helped. They took the boat on a 2 hour trip from their marina to Altantic City 3K most of the way no overheat alarms. However he decided that this fall when the he would like to put through hulls in for engine cooling. This...

1996 Century Boats 1800 Center Console Refit and Modernization

Zool, The Ocean is a beautiful boat good luck with her. At our new marina this year my SR Dancer is surrounded by Sedan Bridges. What are your plans for your SR? Want to sell me your interior. LOL.

    1989 5.7L 4brl won't idle below 900 - 1000 rpms

I may have forgot to mention if I adjust the the idle screw to lower it to normal 700ish rpms the engine stalls and will not fire or idle again without added throttle. Once I re adjust the idle screw back up the 900 + RPMs she will run fine all. The idle screw has to be turned to the point of...

    1989 5.7L 4brl won't idle below 900 - 1000 rpms

Yesterday I helped another friend prep his boat, my old Invader. After gear oil change, flat tire repair and a failed attempt to replace temp over heat sensor her 5.7L Rochester 4brl bravo 1 fired right up. This is a reman 5.7 with all the original bravo bits and pieces from the original...

    496 bravo 3 3000 RPM plus overheat

AD, thanks for your post as well your knowledge is always welcome. I saw in your signature file a new boat did you get rid of the Formula and the other boat you had , can't remember what it was? Haven't been on much. Loving life with inboards.

    496 bravo 3 3000 RPM plus overheat

Thanks Ted, I read through your bravoitis thread. I found most of your threads useful as the engine in my last boat was the same Gen 6 7.4L as your SS except mine was carbed. If it is possible to do this job on the 03 PC31 it's got to be by someone alot younger and skinnier than either of...

    496 bravo 3 3000 RPM plus overheat

One other comment if it is bravoitis through hull is the only way to go. After poking my head in there the other day even with the exhaust off I don't think there is a way to replace the pickup hoses without at least 1 engine coming out.
