Anyone know ANYTHING about this model? I can't find anything on it anywhere....
So I am getting down to the final stages of getting my 1995 Volvo Penta 5.7Gi engine installed and I am not sure how the engine actually connects to the boat...... The engine has a large circular female plug, and my boat has a smaller white square plug.
I did some searching and wanted to know...
Looking for a new motor for my boat, found this deal on CL. Seller claims it had a recent rebuild, it was his farther in laws who passed away. Engine looks decent and has been stored indoors.....What do you guys think? Or what questions should I ask/things should I check...
I need a new engine for the boat, and found what seems to be a good deal on a newer fuel injected 280. Would this engine drop in? What would be involved in adapting this system to my 1979 SunRunner? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Got the engine out of the truck in the shed and in the stand. Started the rebuild process. Though now I am just going to go with a new long block crate engine. So not sure what to do with this stuff now....

Im going to be pulling my Volvo Penta AQ260, it will be my first time, and I am not sure how Im supposed to go about disconnecting the engine from the bell housing? Any advice/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I am looking for a new engine to replace my existing Volvo AQ260 5.7 And I stumbled upon this one but Im not sure if its what I need. Im guessing it just has 327 210hp Valve covers, but Id rather be certain. Any ideas?

Just picked up this 1979 Sun Runner. It was a quick purchase, with no ability to test the engine etc. It has a Volvo Penta 260 (or at least the valve covers say)
- Is that the correct distributor?
- Any way to visually tell if this is a proper marine engine and not an auto engine (short of...
Here are some pics of the boat. I was really really really surprised at the quality of the boat, especially the interior. She definitely needs some cleaning, and engine work, but worth it.
