    I just figured since it was on the hot side of the piston the heat caused those pin holes. Thanks for the help and information!

    So I’m assuming the big thick black one inside the crankshaft head seal is what stops water from from back up into the motor and keep oil from leaking out. That and the seal

    There is definitely a spot for one on the driveshaft. But there’s also a big oring inside the crankshaft head cover. So does that seal the driveshaft or does it need an oring added on the driveshaft as well?

    I removed the bolts holding the powerhead on and burnt oil started flowing from the holes. Is this from a bad base gasket?
