i have a 1984 vip boat with a mercruiser drive last couple years ive had alot of problem with trim pump raising but not lowering pump runs fine both directions just wont go down i take it apart a few times clean it mess around for a few days and finally get it working this year ive had enough...
merc outdrive not sure what model seems to have been changed trim pump is all aluminum with 2 soleniods both are working fine and are wired correct when you hit trim up it works fine when you hit trim down it starts down for just a split second then goes up if you crack the return line clear...
