    I purchased a 1972 merc thunderbolt which I was told sat for about a year I rewiredthe whole internal harness and changed the rectifier now when I tried to start it the first time on thr third key turn she fired right up but reved way to high like it was on full throttle turned her off emediatly...

    stator

    Hi,I have a mercury 80hp 800 thunderbolt ignition serial #3427406 the wiring from the stator to the rectifier is crumbling and falling apart is there any way to rewire the stator or do I have to buy another stator and if so where can i get a good used one,is there anybody out there with a junk...

    1987 Mercury 150hp XR2 trim n tilt

    I have a 150hp XR2,my problem is that last weekend I had my boat in water and the tilt n trim only goes down and does not go back up,hope somebody can give me some help on this issue:confused:
