I have a 69 Mercury 50 hp with a bad lower unit, and a chance to pick up a 79 50hp with tiller control with a bad cylinder. Any help on whether the blocks/powerhead will interchange without major problems? Ideally I would use the 79 carburation and ignition, but could certainly use the 69 also.
