yep. as i was about to load it on the trailer, no start. Because i had a stuck bendix 2 years ago, i immediately suspected the starter. Talk about myopic! went back to my friend's driveway, pulled said starter [ of course it tested fine] while i was reassembling noticed the big ring gear...
have a newer lower unit- has the exhaust housing window w/ shift rod connector. i want to install this unit on my '79 motor. drive shaft and water tube are correct but i need to swap old shift rod into newer unit.
will my old rod thread into the new unit ?
how 'deep' a dissasembly would it...
will go thru [again] all the cleaning/circuitry verification on my Eagle 500c tomorrow but have little hope - i have juice past the switch and fuse and still a dark screen.
anyone have a resource other than the factory that they recommend for fishfinder/gps repairs?
