You are correct in the voltage drop being an issue. Make sure you never turn the switch the the off position while the engine is running. It will fry your alternator. Only go 1 to 2 or 2 to 1 And that could be an issue if your switch is old.
I am considering purchasing a 2015 Regal 35 Sport Coupe with 400 hrs, 380 hp engines and Ocean X drives. All of my previous experience was with a Bravo lll. I am hearing conflicting comments on the Ocean X drive. Can anyone tell me about their experience. My first post. Thanks
