Heyl there. I recently bought a 1990 Four Winns Freedom 190 with a 4.3 that has been
ambiguously diagnosed with a cracked block by the previous owner. Externally the engine
appears to be very clean. The motor was started to be disassembled when I got it. The
distributor was out. The right...
Hello again, I have my engine all rebuilt and together. However while hooking up the rectifier I snapped off one of the studs. In my hurry to get this thing on the water I stopped at Radio Shack and picked up a full wave rectifier. It's a 12V and I don't recall the amperage. Something like 30...
Here are the pictures.
These two black/yellow come down off the coil pack area.
This one I may have found... choke for the carbs?
I'm assuming this one goes on the near by connector, but which one and what other one connect to it, I don't know.
This one is up by the stator
As well...

Thanks
I ask because I burned up the 3 cylinder on it's first trip on the water. The 4 cylinder looks to be the same bolt pattern and there is a 4 cylinder L-Drive if I recall. I realize with the 4 cylinder there will be a clearance problem with the cover (that will be addressed when I get there), but...
I got an 89 Capri with the L-Drive 3 cylinder 2 cycle from a friend that needed a few repairs with the carpeting and other upholstery.
I ran the boat for a little bit with the prop submersed in a container of water. It seemed to idle fine and everything, when I would throttle it up it...
I have a friend with an 17' 1989 Bayliner Capri. It has a 3 cylinder inboard two stroke engine. First off I can't find any information about it. Secondly, I'd like to swap at 2.3L Ford in it - which was an optional engine for the boat. Is anyone familiar with this engine?
