I have a factory bore outboard. I just replaced head gasket but still have a power loss as compared to prior breakdown. One of my cylinders was slightly scored............no such thing as slightly I know just wishful thinking. If I bore .040" over what would that give me in a hp or displacement...
Well I done it ........when torqueing the head my baby finger was increasing the dial each time I pulled the wrench and broke a head bolt off below the surface.............Anyway I was able to remove a broken easyout but then broke off a tap in the block......I need to get the block machined as...
I just noticed some water bubbling then spraying out of what I assume is the head gasket.....just above the water pump...at top of block....can I just pop off the entire head or do I have to take off the head cover ???............I assume I should not reuse the head bolts............anyone know...
