I drained the oil in the lower gear unit of my 86 dt 9.9 and found it to be milky indicating
that water was entering some how. There is no evidence of leaking oil from either of the
two ports. Any ideas on where to look for the leak and to remedy it?
I have a 1986 DT 9.9 engine that the thermostat had been removed by the previous owner. I ordered
and received Suzuki thermostat 17670-93962 and I'm not sure how it is installed. It looks like it is
designed to be pushed all the way into the thermostat housing but that looks like it would...
I have an opportunity to buy a 1984 johnson 15 two stroke motor. were there any issues with
this vintage motor? It appears to be in reasonably good shape and runs well on muffs. Thanks, Karl
