Any one have any idea what type of metal yamaha uses for head bolts . Its shinny with a 8 on top . I think its just zinc plated . Dont believe stainless grades bolt like that and chrome likes to flake . Any help would be good . I would use oem but its at least 3 weeks out to maybe get them .
i went to fire. the motor up the other day and had no water flow . After i took off the water outlet tube and the plastic piece on the bottom cowling i saw a yellow blockage the was about 2 to 3 inches long . Had a oily waxy type feel . Cleaned it all out and it worked fine . Went to fire it up...

I have a 81 honda bf100b and I was replacing a bunch of parts and new gaskets , long story short is I have the service manual but it is very limited on torque specs. Is there a rule of thumb with these motors for the 6mm , 8mm varies length bolts for torque . Like I said the manual is very vague...
I have a older honda b100l that I replaced some gaskets on and I'm trying to find out what honda recommend for the crankshaft cover . There is no gasket , suppose to use sealant . Any help would be great . Thanks
I own a Honda b100l . I know it's a older motor but I got it next to free. Long story short I dismantled to see condition and noticed this about the block . The chip goes all the way to the wall . Is it safe to put a new head gasket or is that to narrow to trust . Please see pic

I went salmon fishing the other day on the columbia river for 7 hrs. and I have to maintain above idle speed trolling to keep up with the river . The question is , When we were finished for the day and got back to the shor I tilted the motor up and oil came out of i believe the carburator area...
