Ive got a 175 faststrike on a 96 285 pro xl stratos. It runs about 4700 rpm's wide open. It seems to me it should be spinning faster than that. It just doesnt seem to be making the power that it should with a motor its size. Its on a 6" jack plate but i havent measured how far below the pad it...
Ive recently found a 93 285 pro stratos for sale on Craigslist ($3750). I was wondering if these were good models. Do they have alot of wood in them to rot? The guy said he had to patch a place in the floor where you step down from the deck into the bottom floor (which concerns me a little bit)...
