    All of my previous meters did as well. I'm not sure why this one is different but the dial isn't as smooth as I would like it to be either. I am really don't know if I can trust it.

    I'm in the US but the meter was definitely made in China. I'm ordering a Fluke tomorrow just to make sure I'm getting legit readings.

    I was reading the 1 on the left that I see with out the probes touching.

    I'm definitely confused by this. Without yalls help I would absolutely be stuck. I took this engine to a dude that said he could fix it a few months ago. I found intermittent spark on the same two cylinders after I water trialed it. Turns out he just swapped two 70hp coils on and called it a day.

    It is reading as if there is no continuity. I tested different spots on the block and pressed into the wire at the connector to be sure.

    Yessir. With the kill switch pulled so it couldn't fire. It spins over with no drag from the starter. I checked the brown lead to the block on 200ohm setting just to be sure and saw no reading.

    When set to DCV I am seeing 3.06v

    There weren't any in the box and this wasn't the cheapest one by far. I'll find some directions and post back.

    With the dva hooked up to the brown and red leads I saw 6.8v with the meter set to AC 200v.

    Mine reads 1 with no connection. If I touch the probes I see a 1 one the left side with no continuity and three digits on the right when there is.

    Meter read "1" with no sign of continuity.

    The leads where voltage was measured were completely separated and wrapped to be sure. As far as I could chase the wires up the flywheel didn't look damaged either.
