Finally tried out my recent boat purchase and the power steering seems to be non existant. Put a new belt on it and tightened it up and still the same.
Should I be getting the mechanic to check out the actuator? I have no idea if this thing was winterized properly. The block is good, I know...
I'm having a heck of a time getting the water pick up hose to stay on outdrive. I had it on but it seemed to be leaking. Ran fine in the driveway on muffs, but as soon a good load was on it in the water...POP! Off came the hose again followed by overheating. Limped back to dock and the boating...

I just picked up this boat today. It allegedly spent it's entire life in a boathouse. Which judging by the condition, I tend to believe it. It was sitting on tires since June. All summer. We cleaned it up nicely.
The problem is, it is completely dead. Doesn't even light up. I don't even know...
