Looking for a set of Pontoon's to build a barge. Any insight on someone in the New England area that may be able to help me out? Also, is there an equations that can tell me how much weight I can carry when given length and diameter of the tubes?

I own a dock business and sometimes the easiest thing to do is tow the dock in place. This year ive built a motor mount so I can drive the dock into place rather than tow. Ive looked around and it seems like a 6HP with a self contained gas tank is what I need. Who knows who the best manufacturer...
Ive been looking for a fun project for some time now. Came across a 1976 MFG Carefree that I really like, but i dont know a whole lot. When I go to look at it what should I be looking for? From what ive read they are good boats. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
