I just received my lifting eye for my 150 mariner but i'm unsure how to actually secure it on the motor. Do I need to remove the flywheel nut before I screw this on, it doesn't seem to go in very far as is? Also if I do have to remove the nut, will I have to reset any adjustments afterwards or...
Just replaced the rotted portion of my transom and now I need to cap it off. My original cap is not reusable so I'm looking for an alternative method without having to fiberglass it from scratch.
I found a corroded wire and tried replacing it but it runs into this box above the carbs and it is sealed with some sort of gel like solid. Is this what you call a power pack and can I cut into that gel like stuff to attach a new wire?
