I'm refurbing a 70 model merc 650 I4 and want to add an overheat sensor, due to the fact that those things have really saved me some misery in the past. I've noticed the plug and cutout in the cowl, but there is also a place in the head cover that looks like it could be threaded.
Question is...
Do any of you folks know about the compatibility of this motor to other mercs? Such as which motors use the same lower end, powerhead, etc. I'd appreciate any info.
