    Weak power tilt unit

    The tilt unit on my '93 evinrude 40 will not tilt the engine without a lot of manual help. I bought and installed a seal & oring kit and nothing changed. In fact the old seals looked fine. The motor seems OK, so I'm thinking the hydraulic pump may be the problem, but would like another opinion...

    Siezed tilt pin

    I'm trying to remove the tilt mechanism on my newly acquired '93 evinrude 40. Both the tilt pin and the upper pin are firmly siezed in place. I don't think they have ever been removed in 18 years of saltwater use. I would love to learn of any tricks for accomplishing this.
