I've removed lower unit bolts. Unit is suspended by shift rod. I can see that shift rod is threaded into the "shift rod connector" that is pinned to the arm that connects to shift cable. Do I have to pull carbs to get to that pin ,or what? That connector has to be threaded off that rod or the...
This motor is on a 81 Baja. It was stolen from me & recovered in 1984. Now that I need a lower unit, I've discovered that the thieves removed all s/n tags off my mtr. I have found a number on the base of the clamp casting (starboard side). MI 10.22.73 Could this be it? Please help.
