    Anchoring a Starcraft Islander 191V

The anchoring lanyard tied to your bow eye as mentioned above is what I did all the time with my Starchief as well. Works great and is the most economical convenient solution for sure. If you get sick of it you can always add a lewmar windlass and a bow roller up front. That's what I upgraded...

    1974 Chieftain 25 "Adventurer" Restoration

Work halted, no splash this year- station wagon tow vehicle and GMC 1500 4x4 tow vehicle both went down. Wagon needs major rust and exhaust repairs. GMC keeps blowing its light duty rear diff gears 😑 Just barely moving boat in the yard sounds like it is breaking it.. So had to shift focus to...

Thanks! It's been a long, winding, sometimes dark road- but it's still moving ahead. Should have the deck hatches all hinged and painted later this week hopefully, just cut all the plywood for the aft deck hatches last night.

My 1978 Holiday 18 Resto Adventure begins!

There ya go, nice to get that crappy old wet foam right out of there. The cross seam strips do seem extremely light on these decks, esp once separated from the plywood. They really only act like tape holding the seam together even, don't think they add squat for rigidity. The factory (2"?)...

    BAR 🍸 OPEN

Whether it is drinking or not- talent shines! 😆 That really is a great idea with the foam. I happen to have a bunch of felt from another project so could certainly add some or spray it like Grub said.. This all seems very doable.

Nice, I like that table, looks like we're both repurposers. I call that veneered plywood stuff 'yacht wood'. Real handy for structural pieces and love the classic nautical finish. Was planning on bordering the little bartop with some teak or mahogany like you did too. Raised edges except where...

    1974 Chieftain 25 "Adventurer" Restoration

Finally added the Adventurer wet bar beneath the mini library! Boat has 3 damn sinks now.. 🤦‍♂️ It's getting out of hand, but it's going to be super convenient too. Also been working on electrical panels, deck boards and whatnot but that's not very exciting. Hoping to have engine compartment...

New light, mat, and rocks glasses. Trying to figure out how to store glasses beneath in a secure yet convenient way. Thinking felt lined drawer type setup maybe...🤔

    BAR 🍸 OPEN

Wall mount faucet is a good idea but there's a hole already cut out so it's too late for me 😅 I also def don't prefer broken glass but I can't really sip a fine bourbon anchored at sunset out of a plastic cup in good conscience either so I think I am stuck with at least -some- glassware. Have a...

Here's one to get it started. 🍻 Working with a small area, 25W x 14L. This is what I have built so far but want to add glass storage and other items.

Hey all, I'm building my mini bar in the old Starcraft cabin cruiser and wanted to start a thread showing various in-boat bar setups/layouts. Please post away, looking for last minute cool ideas to possibly include.. Cheers!

The switch from 1/2 (factory) to 5/8 makes a huge difference. Seems like it wouldn't but the 5/8 is a hell of a lot stiffer between the spans, feels way more solid. I chose the same for mine and am very glad I did. That's great that the foam made it!

Sweet Holiday, looks great already! Curious what motor you have, good old Merc 165? Looks like you have a great starting point for your project.

This is what I meant by the "spear point" as I described it. I think this style looks great👌
