I have a 2001 Crestliner Fish Hawk. I am trying to figure out where the fuel sender is located. A few years ago there was a recall because there wasn't enough flotation in the rear. The dealer put a slab of flotation on top of the gas tank so I can't see anything. If I knew where it is located I...
I had to replace the power trim on my 2001 Yamaha F100 so I decided to do a complete spring maintenance down to replacing the primer bulb. I hooked up the earmuffs in the driveway and cranked her up. She ran fine, but when I looked to make sure the "pisser" was working I noticed that there was...
Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally got the lines cleared. I was able to get a small screwdriver between the hose and the plastic and sort of freed some space. Then I shoved a needle nose pliers and got a good grip on the plastic. Twisted, turned and pulled until they came out.

I have a 2001 Yamaha F100 with 4 Keihin carbs. I've been having problems with proper running. Last weekend I happened to meet two techs out test driving a boat. I told them about my problems and they said it was probably junk in the mid-range jet. Today, I tore the carbs down AGAIN and examined...
I just synched the carbs on my motor (after cleaning them). I synched them at about 1100 rpm. In the driveway it ran fine. When I took put it under a load it started "bucking" at about 2500rpm then smoothed out around 3500rpm. SHould I try synching at a different rpm?
I have a 2003 Yamaha 100HP(Four Stroke) and have been working on rebuilding the 4 carbs ($1100 at the dealer). Not that bad now that I have the service manual. I'm about finished making my "homemade" vacuum pressure guage to sync the carbs (hey, I'm retired and can barely afford gas to go...
