    Engine not turning

    I have a 2001 v6 evinrude outboard and I just replaced the lower unit, and when I went to turn the key, I can hear the starter, but it will not turn the engine. I know the engine is not stuck because I turn the engine by turning the prop while in gear. Any suggestions????

    Lower Unit Replacement

    I have a 2001 Evinrude Outboard 150 (V6) with a bad lower unit. I found a lower unit to a 1996 Evinrude Outboard 225(V6). Are the two lower units compatible? Can I replace my 2001 lower unit with the 1996 one? Thanks for the help!
