With the throttle just above fast idle to about 1800, the engine revs rhythically up and down about 1 to 200 rpms. It doesn't do it at idle or at plane. Weird. Any ideas? Have changed the sperating fuel filter, had recent tune up. Runs fine to top end.
1986 Mercruiser 260 Alpha 1 Chevy 5.7l is overheating.
Have replaced:
-Impeller and outdrive pump assembly (twice)
-thermostat
-thermostat housing
-all out drive boots
-engine circulating pump
have back flushed out all hoses, inc the power sterring fluid cooler.
Runs at about 145? at 1500rpm...
