1963 13 ft Fiberglass Closed hull Starcraft Scout. Good Shape...Steering (rubs some but turns ok ) Cables Good ( cable/drum system ). 2 seats in front..1 bench in back...Just painted inside floor and sides.
1963 Mercury Outboard Motor (350 ) 35 HP.excellent shape...New solenoid.

I have a 1963 Starcraft Scout-14 ft-..Nice 1963 35 HP ( 350 ) Mercury----I was out on the water for the first time and I could not find neutral...it would start up and go..but I had to be out in the channel to start it...( controls are the old kind painted white not black )
Once out on the lake...
I have a 1963 Starcraft Scout...It has the Drum Cable set up for steering..I noticed it doesnt have enough screws to attach it to the dash from underneath..so its a bit loose/shaky..I am gonna fix that problem but the steering seems a bit tight..cables seem to be in good shape..the wheel turns...

I recently purchased my first boat..It is a 1963 Starcraft Arrow with a 1963 35 HP Mercury outboard Motor..has a 1963 Sterling trailer..package deal and not that much $$ for it..
My question is this..What are the things I might need to look out for in a Mercury like this?
