My 99 mercury 40 has lost RPM. I took off in it and pushed the throtel all the way up and it run at about half the RPMs that it did before. It wont idle in nutral. it acts like it is starving for gas. Would bad spark plugs make it start doing that all of a sudden, with no signs of problems...
I have a 99 mercury 40 horse oil injected engine. I noticed gas in the water after i ran it the last couple of times. When i pulled off the cover is seen gas pumping out of a threaded hole in the middle carb. All three carbs have the same threaded hole with no screw in them, but the middle one...
