    i would just like to inquire the correct part name of the handle bar that is attached to my 25hp johnson outboard motor model 1980, used for steering and in which the throttle control is attached. this part of my motor was stolen. i don't know if such part is available. I mean the whole assembly.

    removal of lower unit johnson 9.9- 1987

    getting myself a copy of a tune-up and repair manual for my 1987 johnson 9.9hp would take sometime. could anybody please help me with some information on how to remove the lower unit of my engine? i already tried removing the 6 bolts holding it in place but the lower unit just won't let go...
