    1975 9.9 sea horse

    In an earlier post you said you had not checked the sparks on a tester.You MUST do this as you are not getting any sparks and as previously mentioned holding a plug against the block does not cut the mustard.Also I would fit new plugs,Champion 4c4 I think are the right ones.Good luck.

    Somewhere on here I have seen posted a reassembly sequence for the cowling on the much maligned 9.5 motors.I have searched till I'm black in the face to find it but to no avail. Can anyone help out here please.

    LU oil in 50173S.

    Can someone please tell me what oil is appropriate for the Lower Unit of this motor.It seems very thin for regular gear oil so perhaps it's specific to the electric shift.Don't want to top up with the wrong stuff.
