I'm currently looking at buying a 19ft Cabin cruiser with a 9.9HP OB engine. I'll only really be using the boat along the east coast of Scotland. Is a 9.9HP engine sufficient for sea travel (say about a mile or so out from the coast)? Or is such a vessel only really suitable for river and canal...
