    Johnson and Evinrude cross refrencing parts?

    Is there any material on cross refs from Johnson to Evinrude and back. I know a lot of parts are interchangeable. Specifically will a 1975 6hp Johnson long shaft lower end fit up to a 1979 6hp Evinrude short shaft. Thank you

    Carb linkage....how do I dismantle 1989 4hp Johnson

    Trying to rebuild the carb on a 1989 4hp Johnson, J4RCEC. Cant seem to uncouple linkage. I think the part # I am having trouble with is 324696 which is the linc- lever to valve a small lenth of plastic with nose couplers. How do I separate without damaging this part. Help would be very much...

    Need year of 60 hp Merc

    !979 55hp evinrude...Stalls when put in gear

    I have a 16ft Star craft with a 1979 55hp Evinrude outboard. Good comp, had carbs and jets serviced, new impeller, The engine starts Rite up.     50-1 and 90-1

    I had a old merc 65, with 50-1 ratio, it would burn very rich while I was trolling. My mechanic told me to try 90-1 while trolling and 50-1 when I was running fast, I had 2 six gal. tanks so it worked great.. Can I do the same with a 1975 55hp evinrude?......... Thanks fishingjim66
