When leaving the lake for the day I usually run at w.o.t. to get back to the dock, then I shut it down until I back my trailer in then start it up to load it and it wont idle and keeps stalling. Why does this keep happening?
I have a 1989 Johnson 4hp. that i use for trolling, it is a short shaft model j4rcec. I would like to convert it to a long shaft due to how low powerhead sits to the water.What can I do to convert?
While trying to set up carbs I unfortunately turned the primary pickup screw. I'm not sure how far or which way I turned it is this going to be a major problem or a simple readjustment
just had motor serviced, mechanic said it was idling too high so he turned it down. now after motor warms up it stalls and spits. i realize that when an outboard heats up it also leans out. i have since adjusted the idle up will this fix the problem?
