a few more hours of grinding and cutting and I found a few holes in the hull...i am assuming these guys are the culprits for the interior hull water damage

1. why cedar? is there much of a difference with what type of wood used (except hard wood), especially if i plan to fully wrap it...

1. Hull Cap Edge - the original hull cap edge has a 1/4" plywood brace, glassed to the hull. It looks like this was used for the cap...
