Does anyone use one on their boat battery- a "maintainer" type,
if so, do you just leave it on, or do have it on a timer so it just runs a few hours each day?
Years ago I had a Guest brand, dont see those locally , ,
I see West MArine sells a float charger but do not know who makes it- like buying some NAPA parts, cant tell who makes it, .
And BAttery Tender makes two - .7 amp and 1.2 amp
IS there one single battery charger thats a good maintainer...
I looked at a used boat, it has the plastic tank you can see when you look thru the round plate that is in the motor well and is removable?
1. Has anyone had tank problems with ethanol on these sea rays? tank leaking or giving trouble in other ways? can tank be changed or it is glassed under a...
HAve any of you had any experiences with the Merc outboard 90 HP or 115 HP 4 stoke engines??. My town in a coastal salt water city seems owned by Yamaha in that the ration of yamaha to merc OB s is 10 to one. Bws come only with Mercs , but many older ones have been repowered with YAmaha.

Not trying to ignite the Yamaha merc debate but I would like to buy a Bayliner 16 or 18 with an outboard- I have been to my south east coast city's boat ramps and its almost...
with all the ethanol talk/problems will there ever be a seperate bottom drain pipe or line (even if it enters from the tank top) to allow you to pump out "water" coming from plase seperation?
I looked at a 1999 used sea ray 180 outboard. the floor locker- where you put the skiis --had two covers that were on hinges and swung up. both of them bent a little when you walked on them (I weigh 200 pound). the aft one bent more than the front one.
Were they like this new? Covers looked like...
I looked at a high end outboard, new, 18 ft dual console boat yesterday that had the double wall/full flotation construction.
