    An Upper end removal failure '73 Mercruiser 120/140

    I resorted to using the hydraulic cylinder/block of wood pressure to remove the upper end after other attempts (wedges, come-along) failed to move it any more than 3/8". Look what happened. I suppose the retaining ring, laying separately, was between the ripped out piece and the gimble...
