Just got a boat with a 1995 225 Merc on it.
The guy I bought it off said it was a 1995 carbed motor, but everything I read about 1995's are EFI.
Did they make both EFI and carbed in 95 and how can I tell what I have ?
Also what is preferred by most ?

I just bought a used boat and I am trying to find out what year the motor is. Its a 225 mercury, I have found plenty of sites that will tell you the year if you know the serial #.
I have looked all over the motor and do not see any serial numbers.
Any assistance on where to look would be much...
