you really need an oem service manual (#976583) for your particular motor.. will have all your test information... not seloc/clymer or any other after market.. yes i've seen new parts be bad from tha get-go.. particularly 'lectric parts...
chris has ya goin' in tha right dirrection.. its gonna be fuel delivery... oiler has nothin' ta do with it.... being a '02 its gonna be whats called an electronic motor (non switch box).. its possible tha ecm may have a glitch... jus gotta keep lookin' for it... gl.

tha ecu has absolutely nothin' ta do with tha oiler.. nothin'g else on tha motor except tha linkage (which is tha only thing that determines what ratio its gonna get) and pluse that keeps tha main tank full are tha only...

tha big "gear on tha crank stripped/melted" both problems are usually caused by some type of overheat...
yes, it can... like racer says, tha bleed stuff has absolutely nothin' ta do with tha oiler............
*justa note.. if you know tha history of tha motor and it has "never" been over heated and its (oiler) still workin' properly then no reason ta delete.. if ya don't know 'bout tha motor then...
it will bolt up by removing tha front stud but its not advisable ta run it ona V6... tha driveshaft is "about" an inch (give or take) to short.. closer ta 3/4 of inch.. won't last...... we use ta run 'em but we had a 16" clamp/trim/brackets with a cut and resplined driveshaft, low water pick...
not a clue?.. what ever it is it should not have been there...............
tha only thing on tha "outside" of tha tube will be tha plastic guide tube on top of tha pump... it usually gets melted without tha exhaust "can" in place......
you are describing exactly tha way some act straight outta tha box from merc with tha way it cools.. we called it "consumer R&D"....
yep... restricting tha discharge from tha poppet will slightlt increase tha pressure with most motors but not all.. it still depends on tha drain holes in tha...

jus for info.. do you are anyone helping you have any experience with tha V6 merc??? as for your concern with pressure go here, follow his specs, and your concerns will go away... might as well pull tha powerhead and check this.... yours (adapter, coolin' system) is tha same as his BIG motors...
ya need a spark tester or use your timin' lite ta test for fire on each clyinder off idle..................... or if ya like me i sometimes pull one plug completely out and start tha thing... do all six undividedly... you can wait till dark if ya have trouble seen' any spark from tha plugs.. but...
