    Thought i would post the results. replaced the ecm and everything runs perfect now. Sent the old ecm in to OBD Diagnostics and they called back saying they had never had one act like this one. At random times the ecm would stop sending instructions to the fuel injectors so it would stall out...

    Tried that as thats what we think it's doing .ran new fuel from a pail after disconnecting fuel line and put hose on it to engine. No difference?

    Old plugs looked fine but trying to narrow it down as much as possible. It does not matter what rpm's it running at when under load. Still stalls out.

    It's a MPI engine with brand new mercruiser platinum plugs. No carb.

    The problem is that the motor will sputter and die after a few minutes at any speed .Will run all day on the muffs but when going out under load this happens. Let it sit for a few minutes it will start again and away we go for a few minutes it stalls again.

    First new fuel filter/water separator, no help. Compression test 180 on all cylinders. Check fuel, no water in it. New dist. cap and wires.     Yes it is a new to me engine and it seems a bit sluggish when putting the hammer down.

    Would you connect both positive and then both negative of the 2 battery's together to the starter? In parallel
