I replaced the fast track trim motor and the piston will not let the engine down. I put the green wire directly to the battery positive, blue to negative.. The motor whirrs but no gurgling. The oil reservor is full. The pressure release is frozen shut and can not be turned. Any ideas?
I checked all the coils for correct resistance of about 300 ohms. I am not sure of the voltage I should get from the power pack to the coils. My stator and tb wires all read the correct resistance. I replace the power pack with a CDI brand and still get low spark travel and none with the 7/16...
It runs and idles fine when on a hose, shifts and throttle/speed advances only on hose. In Lake it stalls immediately. Not able to take the prop load and advance, it just bogs down and quits. Somewhat hard to start after that.
The motor has been sitting on boat for 2 years without running. The owner said it ran fine at high speeds 2 years ago. What has happened and what can be done to get the compression us to 125 psi.
