OK, I have a Mariner 40 ELTO, 6E9L with Serial # 502925 manufactured in Japan (Yahama?).
My local dealer thought(?) it was from 1986 but I was "SURE" I found a reference to it with a manufacture date of 1987 or 1988 and not 1986. I'm new to the board - but read thru a few hundred posts first...
