Recently, my sterndrive has started to leak gear oil and is making a small mess on my driveway. It leaks about 1 oz per week, comes out from the prop outlet, and seems to be very slowly getting worse (faster). I left it alone for a long time (did not use the boat) and it finally stopped...
I have a problem where the stern drive "leaks-down" under load (more than 2000 RPM). No external leaks and fluid does not drop over time (2+ years). Anybody has experience with this? Is it more likely that the pump has an internal leak (high-to-low side leak), or the rams?
