I found the port, reset the timing, but the boat is still boggin heavy. Its weird sometimes the boat seems to run pretty good, then other times it bogs trying to get on plane. I am noticing that a little bit to much throttle makes it bog horribly. Still hvaent checked my fuel pressure yet
My engine is I believe an MEFI-1 and a chevy EST distributor. I keep finding conflicting things about setting the timing on these engines. Here is how I have done it, please tell me if i did something wrong.
Warmed up the engine.
Set revs to 1k
Added jumper
Timed to 8 degrees advanced
remove...
Not gonna be at boat until Friday so I'll look again then, but I've tried to find it before and no luck. Also is there any non Volvo scanners that'll work with it?
I have a 1998 four winn sundowner 245 with a 5.7 GSI (TB injected). Near the end of last season the boat would bog if i throttled it to WOT to fast, if i rolled onto the throttle it was fine, but this got progressively worse, but i lived with it because it was end of the season. Now come this...
On where the outdeive is mounted or on the back of the boat ? You have the same boat as me? If you could provide a picture...
And to people responding the reason I'm asking is because on this model the outdeive is recessed into the hull , not directly into swin platform
