    88 johnson tilt/trim collapsing under load.

    i got a 88 Johnson 90hp and I have problems with the tilt/ trim collapsing under a load. Works fine at slow speeds and out of the water. Any ideas? Thanks

    90hp V-4 tilt trim problem

    I just purchased a boat with a 88 90hp johnson. Not really familiar with the tilt trim system. It will tilt up and down fine under about half throttle but anything over that it will not trim up. tried trimming it up then going but it just pushes itself back down. Any ideas? Thanks
